Oh, this is exquisite. It has that same lightness of touch that I associate with artists such as D'Angelo and Maxwell, but there's even more depth to it than that, in my opinion. His vocal is fantastic, and the production is absolutely mind-blowing, featherlight in places, but everything is so carefully considered and exactly where it should be. There are elements I've never heard before. The song stops and starts three times, and part of it sounds like it's been recorded underwater, but it all feels correct. So today's new genre is psychedelic Neo-Soul, and I am 100% on board.
