Jimi Hendrix & ZAYN - Angel

Arriving just before what would have been Jimi's 80th birthday, ZAYN (I still wonder where the Mailk went) has released a pretty solid cover of 1971's 'Angel'. The reason it's so good is that it's faithful to the original. So much so that he's lifted the actual Hendrix backing track (with the full blessing of the late singer's estate) and added his own re-recorded vocals. So it's only possible to critique his new, more mature voice, and it sits pleasingly alongside the song. Ultimately, if this reworking brings Hendrix's eternal genius to a whole new audience, I am 100% sold.
