My Gran always used to say that if something is worth doing, you should put 150% of yourself into it. Glaswegian QueerPop band Walt Disco obviously got the same note but added a few extra zeros to the end. 'Selfish Lover' is everything you want it to be. Loud, brassy, Camp (with a capital C) and moreish beyond belief. It's all dialled up to eleven and lead singer James Power sounds like Andrew Eldritch crossed with Andy Bell, making it even better. But, aside from all of that, it's actually a fantastic song with a genuinely massive 80s singalong chorus.
