If you've kept up with the blog, you'll have noticed that I have been somewhat critical of the recent Kylie material. It's lacked the spark I am used to from her. I'm also not the world's biggest Years & Years fan. But I decided to approach 'A Second To Midnight' with an open mind, and it turns out that it's a joy-filled banger, with one of her strongest choruses in ages, that would sit comfortably alongside the likes of 'Hand On Your Heart' or 'Come Into My World'. The only thing missing is the now mandatory Initial Talk remix, obviously.
