James Righton - Release Party

'Release Party' comes via Soulwax's DEEWEE imprint, so you can pretty much guarantee that it's going to be something special before you even hit play. Like the recent Charlotte Adigéry single on the same label, this is smooth as fuck electro-pop. Righton is obviously a huge Prince fan because there are nods to him all over the track. But the cherry on the top happens at about three minutes in. There is a full-on, completely euphoric, whip your knickers off and turn your head upside down build and drop-in, which is so good I actually screamed when I heard it.
