The 'secret weapon' has been a thing ever since I started clubbing back in the very early 90s. They were tunes that you had taken the time to track down or even produced yourself and then regularly played out without letting anyone else know what they were, despite many attempts to have a peek at the label over your shoulder. DJ / Producer extraordinaire Midland has kept this tradition going by covertly playing out numerous anonymous bombs in his sets, including 'Get Close' by Elvin T, which is finally getting a full release on ReGraded. Effortlessly classy, entirely perfect, House music.
