Every generation has a different relationship with the singles chart. As a Top 40 obsessed teenager in the late 80s, I can remember the look on my Dad's face whenever he passed my room, and some new dance thing was blaring out. Well, I am now my father, and the current charts baffle me. Where have the tunes gone? Everything used to have a melody, as far as I can recall. There are still glimmers of hope out there, though. 'He Gets Me So High' is a brilliant slice of 90s Indie fluff that should be top ten right now.
