There is always at least one track that creeps in at the end of the year and grabs me by the nuts, instantly blowing most of the other stuff I've fallen in love with over the previous twelve months out of the water. For 2021, 'Sweet Talker' is that song. To be honest, I got about thirty seconds into it and had already dismissed this is as another generic radio-friendly Olly Alexander pop number. But then the violins happened, my knees buckled, and I've spent the last hour trying to think of a way that I can legally marry it.
