Will Young - Crying On The Bathroom Floor

There's a brand new Will Young album on the way comprised entirely of covers of songs by female artists. The title track is this magical reworking of one of my favourite singles by MUNA (one of the most criminally underrated bands of the last five years, but that's not for here). The original is a perfect slice of moody and emotional electronica. Young's version increases the drama by adding theatrical string flourishes throughout (the opening few seconds almost sound like the Thunderbirds theme tune, in the best way) and exquisite moments of light and shade exactly where they are needed.
