There was a brilliant track by Self Esteem a couple of years ago called '(Girl) Crush' that I played on and off for months. Bass-heavy, with intelligent lyrics, and packed full of soul. I've been waiting for new material since then, and, fucking hell, has she ever delivered with this mindblowing autobiographical single, 'I Do This All The Time'. It's almost all spoken word, bar a hugely uplifting chorus that will yank your heart right out of your chest. The song recounts the criticism and abuse she's received over her life alongside her self-induced fuck ups, too. It's absolute dynamite.
