If your band are only going to have one crack at the Top 40, you might as well deliver one of the best pop songs of that entire decade (and arguably those that have followed). I am referring to the superlative 'No Memory' by Scarlet Fantastic that graced the UK charts in 1987. Fast forward thirty-four years to new single 'Better Day', a superb slice of haunting, stripped back, cello laden, East German torch song perfection. Maggie K De Monde's voice was always the main draw for me, and it's matured spectacularly. You hang off every word she sings. Beautiful.
