Primal Scream - Love Insurrection

Primal Scream is one of those bands that, when they get it right, it's never less than perfection. They don't always hit the mark, of course. But when they do, it's guaranteed to blow your bits off. 'Love Insurrection' is taken from their first album in eight years, which is due later this year, produced by David Holmes. It's a deep, expansive Soul number with so many layers of live instrumentation that it almost feels alive in places. Gillespie's voice gets slightly lost in the mix occasionally, but aside from that minor gripe, this is a fantastic comeback. More, please!
