If there were awards given out purely for swagger, Phoebe Green would have a whole room full of them based on this single alone. She comes across as insanely cool in this video. It helps that the song is an absolute banger, of course. Crunchy, guitar filled anthemic pop, with a lo-fi chorus and plenty of neat little electronic twists. She is an incredible lyricist, too. Some of the lines here are borderline genius, especially the one about the picture on the nightstand. It's giving me flashbacks to early Pulp and the Black Box Recorder stuff. The future is Green.
