Personal Trainer - What Am I Supposed To Say...

It's time to play catch up. Having already established themselves as one of my favourite bands of recent years, Personal Trainer returned this September with arguably their best single ever. 'What Am I Supposed To Say...' kicks off in a laidback way, with layers of gentle instrumentation alongside their trademark great vocals. But just as you're getting used to the softness, a thunderous guitar riff that would be at home on an early Sonic Youth album comes crashing down in the most perfect way possible before promptly disappearing, and the track then gently drifts to its conclusion. It's fucking incredible.
