Pale Jay's foremost fantasy is to turn off his phone, close the blinds, remove all human interaction and spend the weekend alone at home (which is something I can relate to and have already turned into an art form). With influences such as Donny Hathaway, John Coltrane and J Dilla, among others, he has created a quality tune here, and when the laidback beats and soulful strings of this track kick in, that comes through loud and clear.
