The first few notes of 'Won't Stand Down' sound like 'Take On Me' by A-ha. Just me? OK then! But it doesn't matter in the slightest because the rest of the track couldn't be more different if its life depended on it. This is peak Muse. Bombastic, Loud as fuck, and tailor-made for their live shows. It's also arguably one of the heaviest tracks they have ever recorded. It's brutal but in a good way. However, my only gripe is that all that brute force comes at the expense of their usual detail and intricacy. Still camp as tits, though.
