Millie Turner - Venus

Nothing I love more than seeing someone I've been following for years surprise me by releasing what is arguably the best song of their career. In Millie Turner's case, that's a pretty big fucking deal because she's put out some amazing music over the last six years. Songs like 'The Shadow', 'Underwater' and 'Eye Of The Storm' are all killers. But 'Venus' is next level. It isn't your standard slice of Pop; it's a piece of art at the level you'd expect from Bjork or Kate Bush. The emotion and texture here are astounding, and her vocals are mind-blowing. Essential.
