Middle Kids - Questions

'Questions' by the outrageously overlooked for far too long now Middle Kids further confirms my theory that most of the best new music in the world is coming out of Australia. It's also absolute proof that a well-placed trombone break and a joyful overabundance of handclaps blast something that is already pretty amazing out into the musical stratosphere. This is a masterclass on how to deliver a beautifully crafted pop song. It's lyrical dynamite, musically perfect, and is flawlessly produced. Think St Vincent or the Yeah Yeah Yeah's at their peak. A (very) early contender for single of the year.
