A few weeks back, I mentioned that a Soulwax remix of Marie Davidson's excellent 'Y.A.A.M.' was imminent. Well, it's here, and they have unleashed an absolute fucking monster. The build starts with metallic synth stabs (imagine a cowbell on amphetamines) alongside that aggressive vocal, gradually getting louder, expertly teasing us. When that drop does arrive, it's total carnage. High-energy beats and breaks weave in and out of the track. Constantly changing direction, throwing you around like a rag doll. It's one of the best club tracks I've heard in months and is guaranteed to destroy any dancefloor it goes near.
