Lizzo - About Damn Time

Can you believe that 'Good As Hell' was released eight years ago? It seems like yesterday, to be honest. New single 'About Damn Time' feels like a throwback to one of those 80s and 90s soul tracks that always seemed to flood the radio when I was young. But the fact that Lizzo is in control here elevates the song to an entirely different level. Still spreading her message of body positivity and self-acceptance, this is the first thing I've heard this year that I can confidently slap the 'feelgood hit of the summer' label on without worrying too much.
