Norwegian producer Lindstrøm has been releasing perfectly formed Electronica for almost twenty years. His solo work and collaborations with the equally fabulous Prins Thomas have always hit the spot for me. Following on from his recent meditative material, he's heading back into more uptempo territory for his next project, and the results are gorgeous. The title of the first single from the upcoming album, 'Syreen', translates as Lilac, a flower symbolising love and new beginnings in their culture, which comes across beautifully here. The whole track feels like a breath of fresh air (with just a hint of Moroder). Stunning.
