Liam Gallagher - Better Days

It's all too easy to bash Liam Gallagher. The never-ending tirade of nonsense thrown at him has always been boring to me. To be honest, I was never really an Oasis fan. But it was usually pretty spectacular when they got it right (on 'Acquiesce', for example). So I went into new single 'Better Days' with an open mind, and it is easily the best thing he's done in ages. Everything here is bang on point, from its Hitchcock-style string intro, some great vocals and fantastic backing from his band, giving the track an uplifting feeling from start to finish.
