Some of you may have come across queer icon Lava La Rue from her recent Virgin Media TV campaign appearance. I have everything crossed that this exposure will lead more people towards their music because their talent is off the scale. The exquisite 'Magpie' taken from the massive 'Butter-Fly' EP released back in February is one of my favourite tracks of the year so far. 'For You' is another fine example of just how perfectly La Rue understands their craft. Mixing multiples styles together to make a sound that seems classic but also brand new at the same time. Perfection.
