Jorja Smith - Addicted

The first review I did on this site was for Jorja Smith's excellent reworking of St Germain's 'Rose Rouge' for the Blue Note remix project last year. So it's lovely to be able to shout about something else she's released. 'Addicted' is a beautiful song. It's a story of unrequited love and the pain involved when you never get back what you're giving out emotionally. All flawlessly layered over a vulnerable and straightforward sounding production that perfectly complements the subject, allowing her incredible vocal to shine. Do yourself a favour and give this 100% focus when you listen to it.
