Joesef - Let's Stay Together

I have been meaning to chuck some words at Joesef for a while now, but I've never had the chance, what with time being a finite construct. There's an insane amount of talent on display here with honeyed, vulnerable vocals that will bore deep into you. Tracks like 'Borderline' and 'Joe' have featured heavily in my rotation for the last few months, and I can now add this sublime three in the morning in a smoke- filled Jazz club cover of the Al Green Soul staple to the list. Released to coincide with Green's 77th birthday, it's a fitting tribute.
