Even though joan (because lower case in pop always matters) have an average age of about fifteen, they are stuck firmly in the late 80s/early 90s and I have zero beef with that because they excel at releasing insanely catchy pop songs. Simple but beautifully crafted, with fantastic production, 'want u back' is a total treat. I am a sucker for a turbo-powered chorus and this has one of the best I've heard in ages. It's just immense in every way. Justin Timberlake would have sold his left bollock for this song during the initial N-Sync days. Cracking stuff.
