India Shawn - Don't Play With My Heart

'Don't Play With My Heart' was another gift to me from Brighton's excellent PlatformB digital radio station. You should really check them out if you haven't already. I'll pop a link to their website below. India Shawn got my attention with the incredible 'Movin On' last year, and now she's back with this diamond of a track. Gloriously laidback, with hypnotic, blissful vocals and a genuinely transcendent bassline. The whole package is so smooth it's like having honey slowly poured into your ears. This is giving me all kinds of late-night Anita Baker vibes, but with a thoroughly modern twist.
