Anyone with a functioning pair of ears knows that Ibibio Sound System are cool as fuck, but their new single 'Got To Be Who U Are' is quite possibly one of the coolest songs I've heard in years. Chilled and funky, it's an effortless slice of Electronica with perfectly pitched vocals that sort of sounds like a combination of 'Got To Have Your Love' by Mantronix and acidic elements of Primal Scream's 'Don't Fight It, Feel It'. It's too early to start thinking about my favourite tracks of 2024, but this one has set the bar pretty high. Top stuff.
