There has always been a darker side hinted at within their music, but for 'Suffer' The Hurts seem to have decided to drop all pretence and unleash their inner Trent Reznor. The result is awesome to listen to. Full of industrial drums, filthy vocals, and synth stabs, there is absolutely zero fucking about here. Direct and aggressive from start to finish. It's a monster. The whole package reminds me of 'Violator' era Depeche Mode or something from the Lost Boys soundtrack. It's a really great, and welcome, sound for them and I hope that they keep heading in this direction.
