Just went you thought that 2020 was going to be a total write-off, here comes 'Straight To The Morning' to save the day. It is an absolute monster of a single, showcasing Hot Chip at their very peak. Futuristic Space Disco with one of the biggest choruses ever recorded (probably). The whole thing is drenched in life-affirming strings and has a stellar guest vocal spot from Jarvis Cocker. Apparently, this was initially intended for Dua Lipa, but, thankfully, she passed on it. Now in the right hands, this has become one of the best pop songs I've heard all year.
