Hot Chip - Down

Hot Chip are a doubled sided coin for me. They'll release something perfect, and I have no option other than to listen to it for hours on end and then proclaim to the world that they have single-handedly saved music as we know it. But then their next track can leave me as cold as ice. That's definitely a 'Me Problem', though. Thankfully, the addictive disco-funk of 'Down' falls squarely in the former camp and is arguably their strongest single in years. As soon as that Universal Togetherness Band sample kicks in at the beginning, you'll be hooked. Cracking stuff.
