While the rest of the Super Furry Animals are busy birthing their side project, Das Koolies (who you should check out because they are wild), frontman Gruff Rhys returns with more solo material in the shape of 'Celestial Candyfloss', and it's nothing short of perfection. Built around some of the most gorgeous, pure strings and pianos I've heard in a long time, this is gentle and beyond moreish, with a chunk of 1970s good vibes thrown into the mix. Think back to SFA tracks like 'Juxtapozed With U', and you'll get the idea. It's heavenly from start to finish. Essential.
