Garbage - Song To The Siren

Garbage released an EP called 'Lie To Me' for Record Store Day this year, made up of two unheard songs, a remix of 2005's 'Bad Boyfriend' with Dave Grohl, and this reworking of Tim Buckley's seminal 'Song To The Siren'. There have been loads of covers (over forty, I checked), and until now, I've almost always headed towards This Mortal Coil's version if I needed a hit. That might change now because they've done an excellent job here. It 100% feels like a Garbage single, full of their trademark grandeur, sweeping strings and enough echo to sink a battleship. Lovely.
