If you'd told me that arguably my favourite song of the year (so far) would be an eight-minute '70s chilled Disco odyssey from Father John Misty, I would have laughed in your face and returned to my morning cornflakes. But here we are, and this track is nothing short of spectacular. Usually, a number this long struggles to hold my attention. But this kept me rapt from beginning to end. It feels like one of those epic country ballads where you get the singer's entire life story. Except in this case, it's one you can groove your arse off to.
