Depeche Mode - My Cosmos Is Mine
Updated: Apr 5
The first single was a tad dark for my liking, but this is taking things to a whole new level of intensity. Their upcoming album was recorded in the wake of the death of band member Alan Fletcher. So there was always going to be a sombre tone to the music. But this is fucking bleak. They are diving deep into their feelings here, and the result is the sort of track you'd expect to hear on a Spotify 'Songs For The Apocalypse' playlist (which I just made up, so don't go looking for it). It's all rather beautifully disturbing.
