Sharing new music with like-minded people who have the same passion for it as you do is one of life's greatest pleasures for me. But I especially love it when I get sent something by a friend (Thanks, Dom) that I may otherwise have missed entirely. Such is the case with this absolute diamond of a song from Dayglow. Straight out of the 80s, the decade that did danceable melancholy better than any other, this very much reminds me of one of my favourite bands on the planet, Phoenix, with a bit of Joe Jackson thrown in for good measure.
