The peerless David Holmes is back with one of the best things I've heard all year. 'Hope is the Last Thing to Die' is a rallying cry against the numerous global elites that have failed us during the pandemic and their years of indifference towards the climate crisis. It's got that sense of grandeur that he does so well in his soundtrack work. But the inclusion of brutal techno beats and a stunning vocal from Raven Violet push this even further. Also, you should totally check out the recent reworks from the likes of Timmy Stewart and Daniel Avery. Outstanding.
