To many people, especially those who grew up listening to Indie in the late eighties like I did, 4AD has always meant a guarantee of quality. Bands like Lush, Pixies and Cocteau Twins released music that was both intimate and grand at the same time, sounding unlike anything else. 'Be On Your Way', London trio Daughter's new single, keeps that legacy alive. It's a truly gorgeous song with beautiful vocals and meticulous production (including some of the best strings I've heard in ages). It reminds me of 'Gorecki' by Lamb, and I can't think of any higher praise than that.
