Daniel Oliver - Ready For Love

Iceland is home to some of the best pop music on the planet. Can you imagine a world without Emiliana Torrini, Bjork or the impossible tallness of Daði Freyr? Well, you can now add Daniel Oliver to that list because this is a great song... almost. It starts so well. The first two minutes are perfect. Atmospheric, with gentle beats and gorgeous vocals. But halfway through, the drums kick in, and it becomes something that I can see Coldplay belting out to fifty thousand people in a stadium, which cheapens it slightly for me. Still a really good single, though.
