CLYPSO - Pure Shores

Well... I don't think I've been so conflicted over a single for ages. The All Saints version is so iconic that anything less than the sweeping chords and ethereal harmonies it has shouldn't even deserve space in your head, right? So I approached this rework with trepidation. It definitely takes a while to get going. But when the beat drops in for the chorus, and it fully hits its stride, it's killer. There's a quality to CLYPSO's vocals and how her style slightly twists any song it blesses, whether it's a cover or her own material, into something rather special.
