CHVRCHES - Over

CHVRCHES released one of my favourite songs in 2021 with their fantastic collaboration with Robert Smith, 'How Not To Drown'. It was raw and packed with power and emotion. So I am confused as fuck trying to work out what has happened to them in those last couple of years because 'Over' feels like they've switched on ChatGPT and typed, 'Please write a song that people will forget instantly the second it finishes'. Nothing is happening here, and the chorus is so generic it hurts. It's a shame because they are typically a great singles band. Just not this time.
