If you have not heard the majestic 'High Lights' by Charlotte Adigéry from a couple of years back, you're missing out. It's a lo-fi electronic ode about her obsession with wigs. There should definitely be more songs on the subject of 'things' that people love instead of endless dirges about heartbreak and loss. Anyway, she's got a new song out this week, and it's just as brilliant. It starts out with the bare minimum of beats, bass, and vocal before morphing into a glorious downtempo Disco tsunami, full of perfectly judged layers of sound. This is a work of art.
