CAPSULE - ギヴ・ミー・ア・ライド (Give Me A Ride)

If you had told me previously that one of my favourite new songs going into this year was a Japanese Hyperpop number by a band with a penchant for soundtracks, I would have been more than a little bit surprised. But here we are with this powerhouse of a single by CAPSULE, and I am obsessed with it. I can only describe it as a five-minute version of the closing credits of the best American TV Show from the eighties that never existed, combined with the music from every classic arcade machine you can think of. It's a heady combination.
