There seems to be a breakbeat revival of sorts happening at the moment, and I am totally on board for it. I wasn't that sure what to expect when I saw that these two juggernauts were collaborating, but the result is nothing short of breathtaking. Feather-light synth lines hover over crisp beats, with a snapshot of the vocal from Todd Terry's 'Weekend' floating above everything. The key here is simplicity, and all of it at an astonishingly high level of quality. I was a massive melodic breaks fan back in the day, and this is giving me next level goosebumps.
