Now signed to the seminal UK Garage label Relentless Records, Bimini has taken a stylistic left turn and delivered 'Tommy's Dream'. Musically, it is bang on the money with a dreamy mix of beautiful strings, breakbeats, and some excellent production. My main issue is that their vocals aren't quite strong enough to match the track. The excessive use of auto-tune is hard to ignore, and there are too many lyrical cliches. But it still all works when it's put together. Just. Hopefully, they keep heading in this direction because we could be in for some fantastic stuff if they do.
