To use an expression that I hate with a passion, I was 'today years old' when I found out that Alternative K-Pop was a thing. Blaming Tiger is a South Korean collective made up of artists, DJs, and music and video producers, amongst others. Their tracks have the same addictive quality that the genre usually delivers, but because they are coming at it from a different angle, there's a freshness here that elevates them further. The fabulously titled 'Big Butt' is a blend of soulful, layered pop vocals and warm synths, accompanied by some pretty hefty beats. This is excellent.
