If you've ever taken time out to wonder what Cilla Black would sound like if you slowed down one of her records and took a fuckload of ketamine, here's your answer. I am about twenty listens in and you do eventually get used to the distinctive tone she has and the song makes more sense. But there are moments when it sounds like it's suddenly being played backwards, upside down, and at the wrong speed, all at once and it hurts my tiny brain. It's worth dipping into her older stuff though, as she has got a truly unique voice.
