Baby Queen - Want Me

There have only been a few standout new acts for me in 2020, and Baby Queen is right near the top of the list. Each song she's released this year has genuinely excited me. She's a phenomenal talent, especially when it comes to her lyrics. 'Want Me' starts frenetically, with aggressive synth lines and breakneck speed vocals. Then, out of nowhere, there's an explosion of guitars announcing the chorus, accompanied by an absolutely massive hook. There's no let-up in the pace from start to finish. This is heavenly power-pop of the absolute highest quality, and I am hungry for more.
