Have you heard 'The Barrel' by Aldous Harding? It's one of the best songs of the last few years. You've got my full permission to stop reading, head straight to the bottom of the page, and click on the link to give it a listen. It's a masterpiece. 'Revival', a Deerhunter cover from a recent 4AD compilation, doesn't quite reach those lofty heights, but it's definitely another classy and effortless track, nonetheless. Maybe I need a bit more sleep, but I am getting a quaalude soaked version of 'The Girl From Ipanema' from it. It's laidback Latin, if you will.
