Aldous Harding - Lawn

Whenever I listen to her music, there's something about Aldous Harding's voice and the structure of the songs that carry me away. But her sound is starting to change, and I think it's for the better. Gone are the deliberate, gentle tones and soft instrumentation. Replaced by material that is unmistakably her but beautifully textured and more urgent than ever before. As delicate as the vocals still are, the song insists that you give it your undivided attention until the last beat (and the way the track builds is fantastic). 'Lawn' is my favourite thing she's released since 'The Barrel'.
